Job Postings @ Malden Square: Financial Aid Counselor

As part of the Student Financial Services Team, the counselor is primarily responsible for a caseload of Traditional Undergraduates and a small Continuing Education (CE) and Graduate Student caseload. Caseload management includes the document tracking, need analysis and awarding for students attending both the main campus and Plymouth campus as well as providing individual counseling to students and their families as appropriate. Acts as Counselor of the Day as assigned handling walk-ins and acting as a reference for the Customer Service Associates when call escalation is necessary. Communicates with prospective and enrolled students via e-mail, telephone and in-person. Responsible for oversight of Tuition Vouchers/Dependent Waivers and assists Director with system (Banner) management. Also assists full-time staff responsible for planning and implementing financial aid workshops/dissemination of financial aid information for traditional undergraduates and Continuing Education and Graduate students both on-site and off-site. May require occasional extended evening office hours. Occasional weekend work is required for special events. Overtime is required during peak processing season and when the Student Financial Services Offices are busy. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one year's recent financial aid experience required.
