A 21 year-old woman from Colorado, a senior registered at the University of Montana, is missing and feared drowned in the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.

University of Montana Vice President for Integrated Communications Peggy Kuhr confirmed that Kaitlin Anne Kenny of Englewood, Colorado, was registered for classes as a senior at the University of Montana.

News reports in Colorado indicate that Kenney, who was camping with friends in the Grand Canyon on Friday, may have fallen into the river and drowned. Park Rangers have searched the area thoroughly and found no trace of the missing woman.

Kuhr says the thoughts of all those who worked and studied with Kenney are with the family in Colorado.
